The agreement between you and CaptureWizard. You own your captures; these terms simply set out the rules for using the service fairly and safely.

Welcome to CaptureWizard. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and CaptureWizard, Inc. (“CaptureWizard,” “we,” “us”) that governs your use of our browser extension, apps and website. Please read them. By using CaptureWizard, you agree to these Terms.
By installing, accessing or using CaptureWizard, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use CaptureWizard. If you're using CaptureWizard on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
CaptureWizard lets you capture screenshots, record your screen, annotate and redact, and share the results — primarily from your browser. Some features, such as cloud sync and share links, are optional and require an account. We're a new product and are actively building: features may be added, changed or removed as the service evolves, and we'll aim to make worthwhile changes without disrupting how you work.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use CaptureWizard. You can use the Free plan without an account. If you create one, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information when signing up, and let us know promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use.
CaptureWizard is a tool for capturing your own screen and content you're allowed to capture. You agree not to:
You are responsible for what you capture and share, and for complying with any laws and policies that apply to you.
The Free plan is available now at no cost. Paid plans and billing are coming soon. When we introduce them, we'll clearly disclose the price, what's included, and how renewals and cancellations work before you're asked to pay — there are no hidden charges, and you'll never be billed for something you didn't knowingly buy. Until paid billing launches, no payment is required to use CaptureWizard. Any prices we preview on our pricing page are subject to change before launch.
You own your captures. Screenshots, recordings, annotations and anything else you create with CaptureWizard remain yours. We don't claim ownership of your content.
To actually run the service for you, you grant CaptureWizard a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, transmit and display your content solely to provide the features you use — for example, syncing your library when you turn on cloud sync, or serving a share link you create. This license exists only so the service can function; it ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backup copies that age out in the ordinary course. We don't use your content to train advertising models or sell it.
CaptureWizard, including the software, design, logos and brand, belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't transfer any of our rights to you. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use CaptureWizard in line with these Terms — and nothing more. Please don't copy, modify or create derivative works of our software except as the law expressly allows.
CaptureWizard can connect to third-party services such as Slack, Trello, Jira, Asana and Google Drive when you choose to send content to them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for them. Connecting a third-party tool is always your choice.
CaptureWizard is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, or that it will meet your specific requirements. You use CaptureWizard at your own discretion and risk, and you're responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptureWizard and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You can stop using CaptureWizard at any time and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or where we reasonably need to in order to protect the service or other users. If we terminate your account for reasons other than a breach by you, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you export your content first. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms as CaptureWizard grows or as the law requires. When we make a material change, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, give you additional notice. If you keep using CaptureWizard after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CaptureWizard, Inc. is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be handled in the courts located there — except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. (CaptureWizard will specify the exact governing jurisdiction here.)
