Record your screen

1. Open the popup and choose Record screen. Pro
2. Pick what to share — a tab, a window or your whole screen — and start recording.
3. Use the recording bar to pause, resume or stop.
4. When you stop, the video opens so you can trim and save it.

Add your webcam

Choose Webcam to include a camera bubble. The first time, a small window asks for camera permission — allow it once and you're set. You can record the webcam on its own or alongside your screen.

Microphone, pause and resume

Record your microphone to narrate what you're doing. You can pause partway through and pick up again without starting over.

Trim and share

Before saving, trim the start and end so the clip gets straight to the point. Then download the file or create a share link.

Good to know

• Recording needs a normal website open — like capturing, it can't run on Chrome's own pages.
• If the webcam permission prompt was dismissed, click Webcam again and allow access in the little window that appears.
